The invention concerns a system (1) comprising guiding means (3) which, when guiding the aircraft along a low-altitude flight path, and upon a climb command, continue guiding the aircraft along the lateral path of said low-altitude flight path, and subject the aircraft in the vertical plane to a climb along a climb gradient which is not less than a maximum gradient of said flight path.
