The invention relates to a method and a system for preparing waste-free extraction meal from the seeds of conventional sunflowers for animal feed for monogastrics or ruminants. The extraction meal from shell kernels and shells with adherent kernel parts is mechanically structured, chunks of extraction meal material are comminuted, kernel parts adhering to the shells are removed and the shells are coarsely comminuted while maintaining and improving the structure and the structured particles are separated into two fractions containing various amounts of crude proteins and crude fibers, one protein- rich fraction which is suitable for feeding monogastrics is obtained and one fraction containing crude fibers which is suitable for feeding ruminants is obtained, being subjected to a decomposition process in order to increase nutritive value and digestibility.

L'invention concerne un procédé et une installation pour le traitement, sans production de déchets, de gruau d'extraction, obtenu à partir de graines de tournesols classiques et destiné à l'alimentation animale (monogastriques et ruminants). Ce procédé consiste à structurer mécaniquement ce gruau d'extraction constitué d'enveloppes, de fragments de graines et d'enveloppes auxquelles adhèrent des fragments de graines. Il consiste également à broyer les agglutinations de gruau d'extraction, à détacher les fragments de graine adhérant à l'enveloppe et à broyer grossièrement les enveloppes tout en conservant et en améliorant leur structure fibreuse. Il consiste en outre à séparer les particules structurées en deux fractions présentant des teneurs différentes en protéines brutes et en fibres brutes. On obtient ainsi une fraction riche en protéines, appropriée à l'alimentation de monogastriques, et une fraction riche en fibres brutes destinée à l'alimentation de ruminants. On soumet ensuite cette dernière fraction à une désagrégation pour accroître sa valeur nutritive et améliorer sa digestibilité.
