The invention relates to a decision procedure in combinational logic which requires a computing time of n for determining the congestion of a railway track system. The railway track system supports n trains, each with a route length of m itineraries. The processing steps before the request for the provision of a route can be reduced by the following steps: a) verification of whether a train can reach the next immediate track sector of a route; b) verification for a two- train variation whether a reference position of the first train prevents the second train from traveling on its route; c) new dependencies are created using transitivity and for combinations of two trains, a verification is made whether a cogent sequence exists. Step c) is iterated until no new dependencies occur or no train can reach its destination.

L'invention concerne un procédé de décision en logique combinatoire nécessitant n?m*n¿ étapes de calcul pour détecter la surcharge d'un réseau ferroviaire. Ledit système ferroviaire comporte n trains ayant une longueur de parcours de m itinéraires. Afin de réduire les étapes avant de définir un parcours, le procédé selon l'invention comporte les étapes itératives suivantes, consistant a) à vérifier si un train peut atteindre le prochain aiguillage d'un parcours (ST1 : R1) ; b) à vérifier pour une variation de deux trains, si une position de référence du premier train empêche la circulation du deuxième train sur son parcours respectif (ST2 : R2) ; et c) à créer de nouvelles relations par transitivité (ST4), et à vérifier la présence d'une suite forcée pour des combinaisons de deux trains, l'étape c) étant répétée jusqu'à ce qu'aucune relation ne soit plus créée ou jusqu'à ce qu'aucun train ne puisse atteindre sa destination (CYC4).
