A method for processing images acquired in real time through a medical device, said images being loaded into a buffer, compris-ing the steps of : stopping the loading of the images into the buffer, pro-cessing loaded images using an incremental algorithm, displaying succes-sively intermediate results of the processing, resuming the loading and stopping the processing based on an evaluation of said intermediate results.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de traiter des images acquises en temps réel par l'intermédiaire d'un dispositif médical, lesdites images étant chargées dans une mémoire tampon. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à : arrêter le chargement des images dans la mémoire tampon, traiter les images chargées à l'aide d'un algorithme incrémentiel, afficher successivement des résultats intermédiaires du traitement, reprendre le chargement et arrêter le traitement en se basant sur une évaluation desdits résultats intermédiaires.
