A method and apparatus are described for providing an activation signal based on a received radio frequency (RF) signal. The apparatus includes an RF receiver configured to admit a received RF signal in a given frequency band and a converter configured to convert the admitted RF signal to a proportional signal. The apparatus also includes a low power comparator that has a first and second input and an output. A biasing and offset compensation circuit is configured to bias the proportional signal higher by an offset midrange voltage and bias the second input to an offset compensated voltage based on an offset between the inputs of the comparator. The comparator is configured to receive the biased proportional signal at the first input and produce the activation signal at the output when a voltage difference between the biased proportional signal and the offset compensated voltage exceeds a comparison voltage threshold.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant d'obtenir un signal d'activation en fonction un signal radiofréquence (RF) reçu. L'appareil comprend un récepteur RF configuré pour admettre un signal RF reçu dans une bande de fréquences donnée et un convertisseur configuré pour convertir le signal RF admis en un signal proportionnel. L'appareil comprend également un comparateur faible puissance qui présente une première et une seconde entrée et une sortie. Un circuit de polarisation et de compensation de décalage est configuré pour polariser le signal proportionnel à un niveau plus élevé par une tension de milieu de gamme de décalage et polariser la seconde entrée à une tension de compensation de décalage en fonction d'un décalage entre les entrées du comparateur. Le comparateur est configuré pour recevoir le signal proportionnel polarisé au niveau de la première entrée et produire le signal d'activation à la sortie lorsqu'une différence de tension entre le signal proportionnel polarisé et la tension de compensation de décalage dépasse un seuil de tension de comparaison.
