Invention relates to a method for transdermal delivery of a topically applied physiologically active agent comprising: providing a micro-projection apparatus comprising an array of microprojections (3) extending from a substrate; applying the array of micro-projections to an area of skin to form an array of microscopic holes therein; and contacting the area of skin with a transdermal composition comprising a physiologically active agent and at least one penetration enhancer wherein the formation of the microscopic holes and penetration enhancer facilitate transdermal delivery of the physiologically active agent.

L'invention concerne un procédé de libération transdermique d'un agent à action physiologique appliqué localement, qui consiste à: prévoir un appareil à microsaillies comprenant un groupement de microsaillies (3) s'étendant depuis un substrat; à appliquer le groupement de microsaillies sur une zone de la peau, de manière qu'un groupement d'orifices microscopiques y soit formé, et à mettre la zone de la peau en contact avec une composition transdermique comprenant un agent à action physiologique et au moins un agent augmentant la pénétration, la formation d'orifices microscopiques et l'agent augmentant la pénétration facilitant la libération transdermique de l'agent à action physiologique.
