ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method to regulate a positioning motor, particularly for elevators is disclosed with the aid of a setting means. A prespecified auxiliary signal corresponding to at least the maximum travelling speed and deceleration, is reduced approximately propor- tional to the distance to be travelled and is compared with a feed- back output signal of the setting means, with the output signal thereby being regulated downward in proportion to the variation in the auxiliary signal.
