A method, system, apparatus, and computer program product are presented for decomposing a transaction pipeline by capturing metric data about the completion of transactions within the transaction pipeline, such as an elapsed time that is required to complete a transaction at each stage of the transaction pipeline. A set of agents are among a set of. servers that respond to transaction requests for resources. Two or more servers can be substantially logically grouped into a transaction pipeline in which an upstream server precedes a downstream server if the upstream server initiates a subsequent transaction to the downstream server so as to complete a previous transaction at the upstream server. Each agent is associated with a server in the transaction pipeline. An agent gathers metric data about transactions that are initiated by the agent, which are directed to a downstream server of the server with which each agent is associated.
Un procédé, un système, un appareil et un programme d'informatique sont présentés pour décomposer un pipeline de transaction par la capture de données de mesures relatives à la réalisation de transactions à l'intérieur d'un pipeline de transaction, telles qu'un temps écoulé requis pour réaliser une transaction à chaque étape du pipeline de transaction. Un ensemble d'agents sont présents parmi un ensemble de serveurs qui répondent à des demandes de transaction en vue de ressources. Au moins deux serveurs peuvent être sensiblement groupés logiquement dans un pipeline de transaction dans lequel un serveur en amont précède un serveur en aval si ce serveur en amont lance une transaction suivante en direction du serveur en aval de façon à réaliser une transaction précédente au niveau du serveur en amont. Chaque agent est associé à un serveur dans le pipeline de transaction. Un agent rassemble des données de mesure relatives à des transactions qui sont lancées par cet agent, lesquelles sont dirigées vers un serveur en aval du serveur avec lequel chaque agent est associé.
