A method and apparatus for updating firmware of terminals in a mobile broadcast system including a BSDA and a BSM. The method includes requesting creation of a content fragment, by the BSM, by transmitting a firmware package file for a firmware update of the terminals to the BSDA; creating a content fragment including the firmware package file and broadcasting the created content fragment to the terminals by the BSDA; detecting the firmware package file from the received content frag-ment; and performing the firmware update using the firmware package file.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant d'actualiser le micrologiciel de terminaux dans un système de radiodiffusion mobile comprenant un BSDA et un BSM. Le procédé consiste à demander la création d'un fragment de contenu par l'intermédiaire du BSM, par transmission d'un fichier principal de micrologiciel pour une actualisation du micrologiciel des terminaux au BSDA; à créer un fragment de contenu contenant le fichier principal de micrologiciel puis à radiodiffuser le fragment de contenu crée aux terminaux par l'intermédiaire du BSDA; à détecter le fichier principal de micrologiciel à partir du fragment de contenu reçu; et à exécuter l'actualisation du micrologiciel au moyen du fichier principal de micrologiciel.
