A method and system of installing a cable into a duct, comprising increasing the cross-sectional areas of subducting provided in the duct, so as to allow the cable to be received into the subducting, and then decreasing the cross- sectional area of the subducting containing the cable so as to reduce the volume occupied by the subducting in the duct. Cables may be inserted into the subducting, for example, by forcing compressed gas through the subducting, which simultaneously inflates the subducting.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système destinés à installer un câble dans un conduit. Le procédé consiste à augmenter les sections transversales d'un sous-conduit disposé dans le conduit de sorte à permettre la réception du câble dans le sous-conduit, puis à diminuer la section transversale du sous-conduit comprenant le câble de façon à réduire le volume occupé par ledit sous-conduit. Par exemple, les câbles peuvent être insérés dans le sous-conduit par injection d'un gaz comprimé à travers le sous-conduit, ce qui permet, dans le même temps, de dilater ce sous-conduit.
