A method of providing assistance to an end-user of an online software application running from a web serveris described. While the end-user and the web server communicate through at least one data network,during a web session initiated by the end-user from a client software application, the online software applicationprovidesa means for requesting assistance from a help deskon at least one of the web page returned to the client application. When the end-user activates the means for requesting assistancehe/sheobtains from the server of the online software application a keyword associated to the web session. End-user further obtains at least one telephone number of the help desk to call. When the end- user is calling the help desk through a telephone networkthe keywordis communicated to an assistant. After the assistant has successfully logged in to the web server the web session initiated by the end-user is shared with the assistant. Then, a transaction in progress with the online software applicationcan be handed over to the assistant who will complete it on behalf of the end-user. When the end-user of an online software application is experiencing difficulties, or has special requests, the handover to the help desk of a transaction is much facilitated by the sole communication of a keyword allowing assistant to quickly retrieve the web sessionin order to help end-user or to complete the transactionon his/her behalf.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fourniture d'assistance à un utilisateur final d'une application logicielle en ligne s'exécutant à partir d'un serveur Web. Alors que l'utilisateur final et le serveur Web communiquent par l'intermédiaire d'au moins un réseau de données, pendant une session Web lancée par l'utilisateur final à partir d'une application logicielle client, l'application logicielle en ligne fournit un moyen pour demander l'assistance d'un service de dépannage sur au moins l'une des pages Web renvoyées à l'application client. Lorsque l'utilisateur final active le moyen pour demander une assistance, il obtient du serveur de l'application logicielle en ligne un mot-clé associé à la session Web. L'utilisateur final obtient en outre au moins un numéro de téléphone du service de dépannage à appeler. Lorsque l'utilisateur final appelle le service de dépannage par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau téléphonique, le mot-clé est communiqué à un assistant. Une fois que l'assistant s'est connecté avec succès au serveur Web, la session Web lancée par l'utilisateur final est partagée avec l'assistant. Ensuite, une transaction en cours avec l'application logicielle en ligne peut être transférée à l'assistant qui l'achèvera pour le compte de l'utilisateur final. Lorsque l'utilisateur final d'une application logicielle en ligne rencontre des difficultés, ou a des demandes spéciales, le transfert au service de dépannage d'une transaction est grandement facilité par la seule communication d'un mot-clé permettant à l'assistant de récupérer rapidement la session Web afin d'aider l'utilisateur final ou d'achever la transaction pour le compte de l'utilisateur final.
