ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tarred window frame made from an existing window frame, and a novel drill therefor. A pair of confronting first and second holes are drilled in opposite sections of a window frame for securely receiving the ends of a bar to extend there- between. One of the holes to receive an end of the bar has increasing width in one plane at increasing depth, the coutour and depth of the hole being such that the bar is insertable therein so that the end of the bar opposite from the end received by the hole will clear the opposite side of the frame during insertion and alignment. The tool which permits the drilling of such a hole comprises a shank, and cutting means and a centering means therebetween, the centering means being adjacent the cutting means and comprising a cylindrical bearing surface whereby the hole may be drilled by pivoting the drill bit in a plane using the entrance to the hole to support the bearing surface.
