ABSTRACT The object of the invention is a method and a tool for the freeing of parts held fast, especially for the freeing of bolts and nuts rusted fast under water. According to the inven- tion an electric arc is created between the rotating endpiece (21) of the tool and the fast held part (1), with which the fast held part (1) is heated and/or thermally cut, after which the fast held part can be freed from the fastened object.
