The present invention provides a method, apparatus and system for providing reproducible digital imagery products from captured image content and for the color correction of the reproducible digital imagery products. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a log video signal comprising at least density values for the contrast levels of the original image content for enabling a quantitative assessment of the image content information for providing repeatable and reproducible values from which a cinematographer/director of photography could order the color correction or adjustment of the image content in a reproducible manner understood by a color correction specialist or "timer".
La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé, à un appareil et à un système permettant d'obtenir des produits d'imagerie numérique reproductibles à partir d'un contenu d'image capturé, et d'effectuer une correction chromatique desdits produits d'imagerie numérique reproductibles. Dans un mode de réalisation, la présente invention consiste à produire un signal vidéo logarithmique contenant au moins des valeurs de densité pour les niveaux de contraste du contenu d'image original, ce qui permet une évaluation quantitative des informations d'exposition du contenu d'image, de façon que l'on obtienne des valeurs répétables et reproductives à partir desquelles le cinéaste/directeur de la photographie peut demander une correction ou un ajustement chromatique du contenu d'image d'une manière comprise par le spécialiste de la correction chromatique ou étalonneur.
