Abstract Method, Composition and Product for Restoring Natural Colour of Teak wood. An aqueous solution of a peroxide compound, such as hydrogen peroxide, is mixed with a basic solution having a pH value preferably between pH 7.0 and 10Ø The mixture, when applied to the unprotected surface of Teak wood which has been aged and discoloured by exposure to a natural, and especially a marine environment, rapidly restores the surface of the Teak wood to its original or natural colour or shade. The method, composition and product, are particularly applicable to the restoration of Teak wood used as a finishing or decorative material in or on marine vessels or inland water craft.
