A method for accelerating the separation of a granular metallic iron from slag, characterized in that, in a method for the production of a granular metallic iron comprising reducing and melting a raw material lump composed of an iron oxide containing material and a carbonaceous reducing agent, a solid mixture of the granular metallic iron formed by the above reduction and melting and a by-produced slag is quenched to thereby accelerate the separation of the granular metallic iron from the by-produced slag. The method can be used for producing a metallic iron being satisfactorily freed of slag and having a improved purity of iron.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'accélérer la séparation d'un fer métallique granulaire de laitier. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que, dans un procédé de production de fer métallique granulaire consistant à réduire et faire fondre une masse de matériau brut composée d'un oxyde de fer renfermant du matériau et un agent de réduction à base de carbone, un mélange solide de fer métallique granulaire est formé par réduction et fonte susmentionnées et un laitier de sous-produit est traité afin d'accélérer la séparation du fer métallique granulaire du laitier de sous-produit. Le procédé peut être mis en oeuvre pour produire un fer métallique exempt de manière satisfaisante de laitier et présentant une pureté améliorée de fer.
