Abstract of the Disclosure The activation of protein C molecules, whether derived from plasma or produced by recombinant DNA technology, can be effected by contacting the protein C molecules with immobilized thrombin. The present method is more efficient than using a thrombin/thrombomodulin complex and removes the problem of thrombin self- degradation.
