Maleinized imide polymer resins, optionally in solution and optionally comprising metallic salt of .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, the polymer being selected from the group consisting of butadiene homopolymer, butadiene copolymers, isoprene homopolymer, isoprene copolymers, and poly(maleic anhydride-co-alkenyl benzenes), are used to treat fabric and thereby improve fabric to rubber adhesion. Treated fabric and fabric-rubber composites and specific uses are also disclosed.
Selon l'invention, on utilise des résines polymères imide maléinisées, facultativement en solution et renfermant facultativement un sel métallique d'un acide carboxylique .alpha.,.beta.-éthyléniquement insaturé, le polymère étant choisi dans le groupe composé d'un homopolymère de butadiène, de copolymères de butadiène, d'un homopolymère d'isoprène, de copolymères d'isoprène et de poly(anhydride maléique-co-alcényle benzènes) pour traiter le tissu et améliorer l'adhérence du tissu sur le caoutchouc. L'invention concerne également le tissu traité, des composites tissu-caoutchouc et des utilisations spécifiques de ces derniers.
