When a new function is added to a button telephone (BT), a function addition request is transmitted from a user PC of a user system CM to a customer center (CC). The function addition request includes information indicative of a function to be added, a credit number, and the telephone number of the button telephone. The customer center (CC), accesses a credit company (CR) by using the received credit number, and the credit of the user is inspected. The button telephone (BT) of the user is accessed by using the telephone number through a public network (PNW) to acquire the function information of the button telephone (BT). It is judged whether the function can be added or not based on the function information. If the function can be added, a license code of the additional function is delivered to the button telephone (BT) of the user through the public network (PNW), and the function is added.
Selon l'invention, lorsqu'une nouvelle fonction est ajoutée à un téléphone à clavier (BT), une demande d'adjonction d'une fonction est transmise de l'ordinateur personnel d'un usager, dans un système utilisateur CM, à un central d'abonné (CC). La demande d'adjonction d'une fonction inclut une information décrivant la fonction à ajouter, un numéro de crédit, et le numéro d'appel du téléphone à clavier. Le central d'abonné (CC) accède à une société de crédit (CR) au moyen du numéro de crédit et le crédit de l'usager est vérifié. On accède au téléphone à clavier (BT) de l'usager au moyen du numéro d'appel, par le biais d'un réseau public (PNW), pour obtenir l'information relative à la fonction du téléphone à clavier (BT). On détermine si la fonction peut être ajoutée ou non sur la base de information relative à la fonction. Si la fonction peut être ajoutée, un code de libération de la fonction supplémentaire est délivré au téléphone à clavier (BT) de l'usager, par le biais du réseau public (PNW), et la fonction est ajoutée.
