A method for altering fertility of a plant or modifying its structure is described. The method comprises, in any order, contacting the seed of the plant with Pink-Pigmented Facultative Methylotroph (PPFM) that in the aggregate produces more or less amount of cytokinin than the PPFM that was previously associated with the plant, and then planting the seed.
L'invention concerne un procédé visant à modifier la fertilité d'une plante ou à modifier sa structure. Le procédé comporte les étapes suivantes, dans n'importe quel ordre : mettre en contact des semences de la plante avec la bactérie méthylotrophe facultativement pigmentée en rose (PPFM) qui, dans l'agrégat, produit une quantité plus ou moins élevée de cytokinine par rapport aux PPFM associées précédemment à la plante ; et planter les semences.
