The invention concerns a method for characterising all the DNA fragments in a sample, said fragments being small in size and often damaged and/or in the form of traces in particular in finished or transformed products. The invention is characterised in that it comprises a preliminary amplification step of all the DNA fragments before an optional specific amplification, which makes the method highly suitable for analysis, by molecular hybridisation, in particular on DNA chips, of all the DNA derived from any type of sample possibly of high complexity and/or having being subjected to denaturing treatment.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de caractérisation de la totalité des fragments d'ADN d'un échantillon, lesdits fragments étant de faibles tailles et se trouvant souvent abîmés et/ou à l'état de traces notamment dans les produits finis ou transformés. L'invention réside dans la pré- amplification de la totalité des fragments d'ADN avant une éventuelle amplification spécifique, et donc le procédé est particulièrement adapté à l'analyse, par hybridation moléculaire, en particulier sur puces à ADN, de la totalité de l'ADN provenant de tout type d'échantillon éventuellement d'une importante complexité et/ou ayant subi des traitements dénaturants.
