ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A continuous method is provided for improving the insulating characteristics of oriented steel strip having an inorganic surface coating to produce an organic resin- inorganic coating-oriented steel strip composite. Certain irradiation curable solventless organic resins can be con- tinuously applied to the surface of the oriented steel strip in a pollution free manner. The resulting composite can be used to make power transformer core laminate.
