A method for applying an elastic member (4) on an elastic web of material (2) comprising providing an elastic web of material (2) running in a travelling direction; applying adhesive in a predetermined adhesive pattern (6) on the web of material (2); applying a continuous elastic member (4) in an elastic pattern on the adhesive (6), wherein the elastic member (4) is applied in a direction of extension which deviates from the travelling direction at least within portions of the elastic member (4); applying a non-elastic web of material (3) over the elastic web of material (2), wherein the non-elastic web of material is brought to cover the adhesive pattern (6), whereby the elastic member (4) is locked between the elastic web of material (2) and the non- elastic web of material (3) in the applied position on the adhesive pattern. The non-elastic web of material (3) is given a band shape with a first non- linear edge (8) and a second non-linear edge (9), wherein the shape of the non- elastic web of material (3) is brought to generally coincide with the shape of the adhesive pattern (6).
L'invention concerne un procédé pour appliquer un élément élastique (4) sur une bande élastique de matière (2) comprenant les étapes suivantes : produire une bande élastique de matière (2) se dirigeant dans un sens de translation; appliquer un adhésif selon un motif (6) adhésif prédéterminé sur la bande de matière (2) ; appliquer un élément (4) élastique continu selon le motif élastique sur l'adhésif (6), ledit élément (4) élastique étant appliqué dans le sens d'extension, lequel dévie du sens de translation au moins à l'intérieur des parties de l'élément (4) élastique ; appliquer une bande non élastique de matière (3) sur la bande élastique de matière (2), ladite bande non élastique étant conçue pour recouvrir le motif (6) adhésif. Ledit élément (4) élastique est enfermé entre la bande élastique de matière (2) et la bande non élastique de matière (3) dans sa position appliquée sur le motif adhésif. La bande non élastique de matière (3) se présente sous la forme d'une bande comprenant un premier bord (8) non linéaire et un second bord (9) non linéaire, la forme de la bande non élastique de matière (3) étant conçue pour coïncider avec la forme du motif (6) adhésif.
