A method of applying waterproofing compositions to outdoor surfaces such as painted, sealed or raw wood or painted or unpainted concrete, masonry, brick, stone, etc., by mixing the waterproofing composition with water and spraying the waterproofing composition on the surface to be treated. The waterproofing composition can be sprayed onto the surface to be treated by a hand held sprayersuch as an aspirator or closed venturi type of hose end sprayer.
