A method for assembling a multi-piece absorbent article. A chassis (22) is fed to a first assembly station at a first velocity. An ear web (122) is fed to a second assembly station at a second velocity which is less than the first velocity. An adhesive tape substrate (126) is fed to the second assembly station at a third velocity which is less than the second velocity. The adhesive tape substrate (126) is cut into individual tape tabs. The individual tape tabs are bonded to the ear web (122) at the second assembly station. The ear web (122) having the individual tape tabs bonded thereto is then fed to the first assembly station where it is cut into individual ear pieces which are then bonded to the chassis (22) to form a multi-piece absorbent article.

Procédé d'assemblage d'un article absorbant multi-pièces. Un chassis (22) est acheminé jusqu'à un premier poste d'assemblage à une première vitesse. Une bande (122) formant oreille est acheminée jusqu'à un second poste d'assemblage à une seconde vitesse inférieure à la première vitesse. Un substrat (126) sous forme de ruban adhésif est acheminé jusqu'au second poste d'assemblage à une troisième vitesse inférieure à la seconde vitesse. Le substrat (126) sous forme de ruban adhésif est découpé en pattes en ruban individuelles. Les pattes en ruban individuelles sont liées à la bande (122) formant oreille au niveau du second poste d'assemblage. La bande (122) formant oreille à laquelle sont liées des pattes en ruban individuelles est ensuite acheminée jusqu'au premier poste d'assemblage où elle est découpée en pièces formant oreille individuelles, lesquelles sont ensuite liées au chassis (22) afin de former un article absorbant multi-pièces.
