The invention relates to a method for authenticating and/or identifying a security and/or valuable document comprising a sheet material, wherein the sheet material can be physically altered and comprises a substrate (4), at least one interlaced thread structure (5) at least partially embedded in the substrate (4), the method comprising the following steps: mechanically altering the sheet material so as to expose a portion at least of the interlaced thread structure (5), and deducing the authenticity and/or identity of the document at least by observing the exposed portion of the interlaced thread structure (5).
La présente invention concerne un procédé d authentification et/ou d identification d un document de sécurité et/ou de valeur incorporant un matériau en feuille, le matériau en feuille pouvant être altéré physiquement et comportant un substrat (4), au moins une structure (5) à fils entrecroisés noyée au moins partiellement dans le substrat (4), le procédé comportant les étapes suivantes : altérer mécaniquement le matériau en feuillede manière à rendre apparente une portion au moins de la structure (5) à fils entrecroisés, conclure quant à l' authenticité et/ou l identité du document grâce au moins à l observation de la portion apparente de la structure à fils entrecroisés.
