The invention relates to a method for autoclaving porous, molded products in particular calcium hydro- silicate-bound molded articles, which, after a heating phase, provides for a combined setting and drying phase followed by a pressure reduction phase, steam-containing heating medium being blown off in a controlled manner, from the autoclave which is in the setting phase, the peripheral zones of the molded products being cooled isobarically, at the end of the drying phase, by being washed around with saturated steam, to avoid the risk of cracking.
