The invention relates to a method that can be applied to data processing programs that allow the user to repeatedly change data (10), especially programs that process electronic forms such as spreadsheet routines. The invention provides a method with which an erroneous overwriting of initially correct data (10) can be avoided. To this end, the method allows an automatic selection of critical data (12), that is data that shall not be overwritten, from the quantity of data (10) to be processed. Said critical data (12) are automatically protected from being unintentionally overwritten.

L'invention concerne un procédé qui peut être appliqué à des programmes de traitement de données, par exemple des tableurs, permettant à leur utilisateur de modifier des données (10) à plusieurs reprises, notamment lors du traitement de formulaires électroniques. L'objectif de l'invention est d'éviter l'écrasement, par erreur, de données (10) qui étaient correctes à l'origine. A cet effet, le procédé selon l'invention permet de sélectionner automatiquement, parmi le volume de données à traiter (10), les données critiques (12), c'est-à-dire les données à ne pas écraser. Ces données critiques (12) sont automatiquement protégées contre un écrasement accidentel.
