Also, acid wash methods useful for reducing the bleach catalyst carry-over from laundry bleach compositions containing metal-containing bleach catalysts, said methods comprising contacting fabrics impregnated with metal-containing bleach catalysts with an aqueous acidic solution having a pH below about 4Ø

L'invention concerne une composition blanchissante utile pour le lavage du linge, comprenant un catalyseur de blanchiment efficace à une concentration correspondant à moins de 40 ppm de manganèse. On décrit également des méthodes de rinçage par une solution acide pour diminuer la persistance au cours du ou des lavages subséquents du catalyseur apporté par la composition de blanchiment comprenant un tel catalyseur métallique. Dans ce procédé on met en contact les lesdits tissus imprégnés par le catalyseur de blanchiment contenant le métal avec une solution aqueuse acide ayant un pH inférieur à environ 4,0.
