The inventive method for sequestrating carbon exhausted in atmosphere in the form of CO¿2? consists in a) concentrating CO¿2? in a liquid phase, b) electrically reducing said CO¿2? into a compound, in an aprotic medium, when the carbon passes to a +3 degree of oxydation in the form of an oxalic or formic acid, c) if necessary, in re-extracting said oxalic or formic acid in a liquid phase and in d) in mineralising by reaction with an M element compound, thereby obtaining a stable compound whose C/M atomic ratio is roughly equal to 2/1.
Un procédé de séquestration du carbone émis à l'atmosphère sous forme de C02 comprend : a) une étape de concentration du C02 en phase liquide ; b) une étape d'électro-réduction en milieu aprotique en un composé où le carbone passe au degré d'oxydation +3 sous forme d'acide oxalique ou formique ; c) le cas échéant, une étape de ré-extraction de l'acide oxalique ou formique en phase aqueuse ; et d) une étape de minéralisation par réaction avec un composé d'un élément M aboutissant à un composé stable où le rapport atomique CIM est d'environ 2/1:
