The invention relates to a method for chemically treating a liquid medium loaded with nitrates, primarily comprising a step in which zinc in brought into contact with said liquid medium whose pH is preferably less than 4. When this contacting step leads to the presence of residual zinc in the liquid medium, the liquid medium is circulated through at least one electrolytic cell. The invention also relates to a device for treating a liquid medium loaded with nitrates, to applications of this method, and to a device for reducing the proportion of nitrates in ground water.
L'invention concerne notamment un procédé de traitement par voie chimique d'un milieu liquide chargé en nitrates comprenant principalement une étape de mise en contact entre du zinc et le dit milieu liquide dont le pH est de préférence inférieur à 4. Lorsque cette étape de mise en contact entraîne la présence de zinc résiduel dans le milieu liquide, il est prévu que ce milieu liquide circule également à travers au moins une cellule d'électrolyse. L'invention concerne également un dispositif (55) pour traiter un milieu liquide chargé en nitrates ainsi que les applications de ces procédé et dispositif (55), notamment pour réduire le taux de nitrates dans les eaux de drainage.
