The invention is directed to a process for removing chlorite ion from a body of water containing unacceptably high levels of chlorite comprising adding to said body of water a chlorite removal chemical selected from the group comprising sodium dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate, sodium dichloroisocyanurate, trichloroisocyanurate, polyaluminum chloride, sodium permanganate, potassium permanganate, and catalase enzyme.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de supprimer un ion chlorite d'un plan d'eau contenant des taux trop élevés de chlorite. Ce procédé consiste à ajouter au plan d'eau une substance chimique de suppression du chlorite choisie dans le groupe comprenant du dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate de sodium, du dichloroisocyanurate de sodium, du trichloroisocyanurate, du chlorure de polyaluminium, du permanganate de sodium, du permanganate de potassium et une catalase.
