The invention relates to a method for cleaning slag, created in metallurgical processes of non-ferrous metals, in an electric furnace, and particularly the method is related to a semi-continuous cleaning process. According to the novel method, the electric furnace is provided with at least two slag tapping holes, the lower of which is arranged on the same level as the tap hole in a conventional, batchwise operated furnace, and the second tap hole is located higher up, either at the height of the feed inlet or only slightly underneath it.

La présente invention a pour objet une méthode pour le décrassage de fours électriques utilisés dans les procédés métallurgiques pour la production de métaux non ferreux; la méthode en question concerne notamment un processus de décrassage semi-continu. En vertu de cette nouvelle méthode, le four électrique est doté d'au moins deux trous à crasse, dont le plus bas est disposé au même niveau que le trou de coulée dans un four à cuve conventionnel à fonctionnement discontinu, le deuxième trou à crasse étant situé un peu plus haut, soit à la même hauteur que l'orifice d'alimentation, ou légèrement plus bas que celui-ci.
