The invention relates to a method for coating a substrate with a sealant, particularly for joining or gluing parts or/and for sealing or filling cavities or intermediate spaces. According to the inventive method, the non- hardened sealant contains a latent catalyst which is released in an active form or/and formed when an outside energy source is applied thereto, thereby initiating or accelerating the reaction between the basic polymer and the hardener used for hardening. The invention also relates to a non-hardened sealant containing a basic polymer and a hardener with a catalyst, in which the catalyst is contained in a latent manner and is released in an active form by applying an outside energy source.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour enduire un substrat au moyen d'une masse d'étanchéité, notamment pour relier ou coller des pièces et/ou étancher ou remplir des cavités et des interstices. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que la masse d'étanchéité non encore durcie contient un catalyseur latent libéré et/ou activé par une action énergétique externe, déclenchant et/ou accélérant ainsi la réaction de durcissement entre le polymère de base et le durcisseur. La présente invention porte également sur une masse d'étanchéité non durcie contenant un polymère de base, un durcisseur et un catalyseur, lequel se présente sous forme latente et peut être activé par une action énergétique externe.
