The invention concerns a method for coating an object with a film derived from melting a thin powder layer which consists in: (a) providing an electrically charged fluidized powder bed in a vessel, said powder being charged with a forced circulation tribocharging device; (b) wetting in the vessel the object connected to a zero potential or sufficient to coat it with powder; (c) placing the powder-coated object in an oven at an adequate temperature until the coating film is obtained by melting the powder. In accordance with an advantageous embodiment of the invention the oven comprises electrodes brought to a high electrical potential so as to produce a corona effect which compensates relaxation of the charge of powder particles when heated. Thus, the charge of the particles is maintained and hence remain on the object and can thus form the film by melting. The invention also concerns the equipment for implementing the method.

La présente invention est un procédé de recouvrement d'un objet par un film provenant de la fusion d'une mince couche de poudre dans lequel (a) on dispose d'un lit de poudre fluidisée électrisée dans une cuve, cette poudre étant chargée par un dispositif tribochargeur à circulation forcée, (b) on trempe dans la cuve l'objet relié à un potentiel zéro ou suffisant pour le recouvrir de poudre, (c) on place ensuite l'objet recouvert de la poudre dans un four à une température suffisante jusqu'à obtenir le film de revêtement par fusion de la poudre. Selon une forme avantageuse de l'invention le four comprend des électrodes portées à un potentiel électrique élevé afin de provoquer un effet couronne qui compense la relaxation de la charge des particules de poudre pendant leur chauffage. On maintient ainsi la charge des particules et donc elles restent sur l'objet et peuvent ainsi former le film par fusion. La présente invention concerne aussi l'appareillage pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé.
