Abstract of the Disclosure An improved method for coating an extruded polyvinyl chloride article such as shapes or profiles for building siding or window lineals is disclosed. The improvement comprises grit blasting the surface of the extruded polyvinyl chloride article before application of the coating. Grit blasting significantly improves the adhesion of the coating to the polyvinyl chloride substrate.
