A method for the electrophoretic application of a polymeric coating to an object having an elongate portion on a continuous belt, comprising the steps of positioning the object to engage a retaining member, the retaining member engaging the continuous belt such that a retaining portion on the retaining member releasably retains the elongate portion of the object to the belt; conveying the continuous belt with a drive mechanism; and coating the object on the continuous belt.

Cette invention a pour objet un procédé d~application par électrophorèse d~un revêtement polymère sur un objet possédant une portion allongée sur une courroie transporteuse sans fin, comprenant les étapes consistant à positionner l~objet de telle manière qu~il déclenche un élément de retenue, cet élément de retenue déclenchant la courroie sans fin de telle manière qu~une portion de retenue de l~élément de retenue retient, de manière amovible, la portion allongée de l~objet sur la courroie ; déplaçant la courroie sans fin à l~aide d~un mécanisme d~entraînement ; et recouvrant l~objet sur la courroie sans fin.
