ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method is disclosed in which sorghum is sown in storeyed manner over the corn in each row. It is suitable to use a headless sorghum variety. Corn is sown at a density of from 50 to 60,000 plants/ha, and sorghum at a density of from 200 to 220,000 plant/ha. Sowing is determined by the heat demand of the sorghum, harvesting is determined by the water-content of the corn. It is advantageous to allow the sorghum to remain on the stubble-fields to shoot and grow after harvesting to produce a secondary harvest.
