PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne un procédé de compensation du champ magnétique induit par la file voisine dans les séries de cuves d'électrolyse à haute intensité, placée en travers. On dispose, le long de chaque file, du côté intérieur et/ou du côté extérieur, un conducteur de compensation parcouru par un courant continu, qui induit un champ antagoniste neutralisant le champ parasite de la file voisine. En réglant l'intensité dans chaque conducteur et la distance entre le conducteur et la file, on obtient une excellente compensation. Application aux séries de cuves d'électrolyse ignée, à très haute intensité, pour la production d'aluminium.
