The invention relates to a method for compressing a natural gas flow. According to the invention, the natural gas flow (1) for compression is liquefied and then compressed by means of at least one cryogenic pump (C). A liquefaction of the natural gas flow (1) thus occurs, preferably using the energy from a cryogenic process, in particular, in heat exchange (X, Y, Z) with at least one medium (7,9, ..) for heating, preferably a cryogenic medium.

L'invention concerne un procédé de compression d'un flux de gaz naturel. Selon l'invention, le flux de gaz naturel à comprimer (1) est liquéfié, puis il est comprimé au moyen d'au moins une pompe cryogénique (C). La liquéfaction du flux de gaz naturel à comprimer (1) est réalisée de préférence au moyen de l'énergie provenant d'un processus à basse température, en particulier dans le cadre de l'échange de chaleur (X, Y, Z) avec au moins un agent à réchauffer (7, 9, ..), de préférence un agent cryogénique.
