A method for computing, complexity, confidence and technical maturity indices for the evaluation of a reservoir is disclosed (220). The method comprising the steps of making estimates of reservoir components which are associated with a subsurface reservoir evaluation (120); and with steps of making estimates of confidence values for the estimates of reservoir components (17) and computing a evaluation index for the evaluation of the reservoir based upon at least one of the estimates of the reservoir components and the estimates of the confidence values (210). Complexity and confidence scores are assigned to the respective estimates of the reservoir components and estimates of confidence values. These scores are combined to produce complexity and confidence indices. This evaluation tool is intended to help improve the assessment of the reliability of probabilistic reservoir production forecast and provides an indicator of the reliability of the forecast production profiles and reserves estimations.
L'invention concerne un procédé de calcul des indices de complexité, de confiance et de maturité technique pour l'évaluation d'un réservoir (220). Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : estimation des composants du réservoir qui sont associés à une évaluation en sub-surface du réservoir (120) ; et, conjointement, aux étapes d'estimation d'indices de confiance pour l'estimation des composants du réservoir (17), et calcul d'un indice d'évaluation pour l'évaluation du réservoir, sur la base d'au moins l'une des estimations des composants du réservoir et des estimations des indices de confiance (210). Les cotations de complexité et de confiance sont attribuées aux estimations respectives des composants du réservoir et aux estimations des indices de confiance. Ces cotations sont combinées pour l'obtention d'indices de complexité et de confiance. Cet outil d'évaluation vise à contribuer à améliorer l'évaluation de la fiabilité des prévisions probabilistes de production de réservoirs et fournit une indication de la fiabilité des profils de production prévue et des estimations des réserves.
