For designing a balanced stair comprising steps with treads (1-15) showing front edges (26), a line of travel (22) is determined on the stair and a reference line is determined onto each step in a predetermined position with respect to the front edge (26) thereof. In contrast to the prior art methods wherein the reference lines, more particularly the front edges (26) or the risers (25) of the steps, are divided along the line of travel (22) on constant mutual distances measured on the line of travel itself, the substantially constant mutual distances (d) between the reference lines is determined according to the invention near the line of travel (22) along a measuring line (27) which is determined for each pair of adjoining reference lines so as to form a substantially constant angle (.alpha.) with at least one of the adjoining reference lines thereof. In this way, a stair which is easier to walk on and which automatically shows a more regular nosing line at the outer string (21) is obtained.
L'invention concerne la réalisation d'un escalier équilibré dont les marches (1-15) comportent un bord frontal (26), avec une ligne de déplacement (22) déterminée sur l'escalier et une ligne de référence déterminée sur chaque marche selon une position préétablie par rapport au bord frontal (26). Dans les procédés existants, les lignes de référence, et plus précisément le bord frontal (26) ou la contremarche (25), font l'objet d'une répartition le long de la ligne de déplacement (22) sur des distances mutuelles constantes mesurées à partir de la ligne de déplacement proprement dite. Aux fins de l'invention, les distances mutuelles sensiblement constantes (d) entre les lignes de référence sont déterminées près de la ligne de déplacement (22) le long d'une ligne de mesure (27) établie pour chaque paire de lignes de référence adjacentes, de manière à former un angle sensiblement constant (.alpha.) avec au moins l'une des lignes de référence adjacentes. Il est plus facile de marcher sur un escalier ainsi équilibré, et l'on obtient automatiquement une ligne de rive de plancher plus régulière au cordeau externe (21).
