In a method for continuous determination of the properties of a wood fibre flow (2) in fibreboard fabrication, a sample of the fibre flow is illuminated with light, and one or more of the properties fibre length distribution (20, 22), resin content (14), fibre moisture (16) and optical properties (18) for the sample, determined from the measured ensuing reflectance spectrum, is/are determined from predetermined relations between measured spectral values and absolute magnitudes for said properties.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de détermination en continu des propriétés d'un flux de fibres ligneuses (2) dans la fabrication de panneaux de fibres, selon lequel un échantillon du flux de fibres est éclairé par de la lumière, et une ou plusieurs des propriétés telles que la répartition des longueurs de fibres (20, 22), la teneur en résine (14), l'humidité des fibres (16) et les propriétés physiques (18) dudit échantillon, établies à partir de mesures consécutives du spectre de réflectance, sont déterminées à partir de relations préétablies entre des valeurs spectrales mesurées et des grandeurs absolues associées auxdites propriétés.
