To agitate a fluid within a vessel (106), which may be a hot water heater, an ultrasonic transducer (104) is located within the vessel. An ultrasonic generator and timer (102) receive alternating current input (100), convert the current to an ultrasonic frequency current, and provide the transducer (104) with the ultrasonic current. Deposits of calcium carbonate in hot water heaters are prevented by the agitation. The transducer (104) may be a magnetostrictive transducer or a piezoelectric transducer.

La présente invention a trait à un procédé permettant l'agitation d'un fluide dans un conteneur (106), pouvant être un radiateur à eau chaude, dans lequel on dispose un transducteur ultrasonore (104) au sein du conteneur. Un générateur d'ultrasons et une minuterie (102) reçoivent une entrée de courant alternatif (100), convertissent le courant en un courant à fréquence ultrasonore, et fournissent au transducteur (104) le courant ultrasonique. On empêche ainsi des dépôts de carbonate de calcium dans des radiateurs à eau chaude par l'agitation. Le transducteur (104) peut être un transducteur magnétorestrictif ou un transducteur piézo-électrique.
