ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method is disclosed for the continuous recovery of non-ferrous metals from molten non-ferrous metal slags in an electric furnace. Fresh, oxidized slag from the melting of non-ferrous metals is continuously fed into the furnace and reduction is carried out by injecting carbon dust into the slag layer. The metal layer produced at the furnace bottom is kept very thin.
