The invention concerns a method for continuously controlling the quality of distributed digital sounds broadcast by radio or television on a digital channel. The method consists in temporally breaking down (1) the digital signal into sequences (S¿n?) of samples; carrying out a spectral analysis (2) of each sequence to observe the variations in energy and envelope of the digital signal and calculating a global quality index and in calculating (3) on the basis of the global quality index a final gated and continuous quality index representing the quality of the digital signals. The invention is applicable to the continuous control of the quality of distributed sounds.
L'invention concerne un procédé de contrôle en continu de la qualité des sons en distribution radio- ou télédiffusée sur un canal numérique. Le procédé consiste à découper temporellement (1) le signal numérique selon des suites (Sn) d'échantillons, à effectuer (2) une analyse spectrale de chaque suite pour observer les variations d'énergie d'enveloppe du signal numérique et calculer un indice de qualité global et à calculer (3) à partir de l'indice de qualité global un indice de qualité final, valeur bornée et continue, représentative de la qualité des signaux numériques. Application au contrôle continu de la qualité des sons en distribution.
