Abstract of the Disclosure The invention disclosed provides a method for control of insects by tree trunk implantation of N-acyl derivatives of phosphoroamidothioates and in particular N-acyl derivatives of O-alkyl-S-aliphatic hydrocarbyl phosphoroamidothioates and S-alkyl-S-aliphatic hydrocarbon phophoroamidodithioates. The present method combines a high degree of insecticidal activity with relatively low mammalian toxcity while providing a highly efficient means for preservation of trees.
