The invention concerns a method for controlling a floor heating system, in which a heating circuit in a room is supplied with a heat carrying fluid within a cycle for a supply period, the supply period being chosen in dependence of the room temperature. In this connection, it is endeavoured to operate the floor heating more favourably with regard to the energy consumption. For this purpose, at least one additional parameter is registered next to the room temperature, the cycle duration and the duration of the supply period being chosen in dependence of the room temperature and the parameter.
