The invention concerns a method for controlling the curl of paper, in which method steam treatment and/or moistening of the paper web (W) and/or equivalent operations are employed in order to control the curl of the paper web (W). In the method, the operations for controlling the curl of the paper web (W) are carried out after the calendering process carried out in the calender (40) or, in processes in which calendering is not employed, in connection with the machine reel-up or in process steps carried out after the machine reel-up. The invention also concerns a paper or board machine, which comprises at least a headbox, a former, a press, and a dryer section, in which paper or board machine steam boxes and/or moistening devices and/or an IR dryer and/or equivalent devices for the control of the curl are employed. The steam boxes and/or moistening devices and/or IR dryers and/or the equivalent curl control devices for the control of the curl of the paper web (W) are placed after the calender (40) or, if no calender is employed, in connection with the machine reel-up or in connection with a finishing process carried out after the machine reel-up.
Cette invention concerne un procédé de tuilage du papier, procédé dans lequel le tuilage d'une bande continue de papier (W) se fait par un traitement à la vapeur et/ou par l'humidification de la bande continue (W) et/ou par d'autres opérations équivalentes. Les opérations de tuilage de la bande continue de papier (W) se déroulent après le processus de calandrage dans la calandre (40) ou, dans le cas de traitements sans calandrage, en connexion avec l'enrouleuse de la machine ou lors des étapes de traitement se déroulant en aval de l'enrouleuse. Cette invention concerne également une machine à papier ou carton qui comprend au moins une caisse de tête, un formeur, une presse et une section de séchage. Cette machine fait également appel à des étuves et/ou à des dispositifs d'humidification et/ou à un séchoir à infrarouges et/ou à des dispositifs équivalents permettant d'effectuer le tuilage. Ces éléments assurant le tuilage de la bande de papier continue (W) sont disposés en aval de la calandre (40) ou, en l'absence de calandre, se trouvent en connexion avec l'enrouleuse de la machine ou en connexion avec le processus de finition se déroulant en aval de l'enrouleuse.
