A method is provided for heating the interior surface of a defined volume, such as the interior of a pipe or tank, to control the viscosity of a liquid contained within that volume. The method comprises providing a heater element such as a laminated composite heater element, impermeable to water. The heater element is disposed on the surface of the receptacle, and is heated at prescribed intervals and temperatures effective to heat the interior surface of the volume and alter the viscosity of the liquid contained therein.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de réchauffage de la surface intérieure d'un volume fini tel que celui d'un tube ou d'un réservoir pour régler la viscosité d'un liquide s'y trouvant. Ledit procédé consiste à se procurer un élément chauffant imperméable à l'eau du type élément chauffant composite laminé, à le placer à la surface du récipient et à le chauffer à des intervalles et températures donnés suffisants pour réchauffer la surface intérieure du contenu et modifier la viscosité du liquide y étant placé.
